Snow, Bees & Hints of Spring
As we move closer to Easter, you’d expect to see green shoots, warm breezes, and signs of life popping up everywhere. But here in the Northeast, spring still feels a long way off. Just yesterday, we had a surprise snow day—keeping us out of the garden and putting all those long-awaited spring tasks on hold.
Like many of you, we’re eager to get our hands in the soil, prep our garden beds, and finally plant the spring crops we’ve been dreaming about all winter. Thankfully, the forecast looks more hopeful in the week ahead, and we’re crossing our (muddy) fingers that the thaw will stick around.
Despite the chilly setback, we had one truly bright spot this season: most of our beehives made it through the winter.
This might not sound like much, but it’s a huge win. Reports show that hive losses were especially high this year across the U.S., so seeing our bees buzzing again feels like a little miracle. Their hum is a hopeful sound—whispers of warmer days ahead, of flowers getting ready to bloom, and of color returning to the landscape.
That feeling—the hope, the color, the renewal—is what inspired our latest additions to the shop.
We’ve added a small collection of bee and flower-themed gift wrap designs to our spring lineup. Whether you're wrapping Easter baskets, spring birthdays, or just sending a little something sweet, these prints bring a joyful pop of color and nature-inspired charm to your gifts.
We may still be waiting for real spring to arrive outside, but inside the studio, it’s buzzing with inspiration.
Thanks for being here and sharing the season with us. Here's to new beginnings, blooming things, and bees that beat the odds.
With hope and honey,
The Jamoke Homestead Gift Wrap Shoppe
