Nestled in the green hills of New England, our homestead has become a sanctuary of sustainability, self-sufficiency, and simple pleasures. Our Homestead Journey

A few years back, we made a life-changing decision to trade our suburban home for a quaint farmhouse surrounded by nature. The allure of wide-open spaces, fresh air, and a closer connection to our food sources drew us to the beautiful, rolling hills of New England. With a lot of hard work and a bit of trial and error, we transformed a piece of land into our very own Jamoke Homestead.

Growing Our Own Produce

One of the most rewarding aspects of our new lifestyle is growing our own produce. From juicy tomatoes to crisp cucumbers, we take immense pride in the fruits (and vegetables) of our labor. Each season, we experiment with new crops and gardening techniques, always striving for a bountiful and diverse harvest. Our garden is not just a source of fresh, organic food but also a place of learning and growth for our entire family.

Our Feathered Friends

No homestead would be complete without a flock of chickens! Our small group of hens us with fresh eggs daily, their clucking and scratching adding a delightful soundtrack to our days and our proud rooster makes any alarm clock obsolete. They also play a vital role in our garden, helping with pest control and soil fertility. Watching them roam freely and contentedly around the homestead is a simple pleasure that never gets old.

Busy Bees

One of the most fascinating additions to Jamoke Homestead has been our beehives. These industrious little creatures not only keep our garden and orchard pollinated but also produce the most delicious honey. Beekeeping has been a rewarding and eye-opening experience, deepening our appreciation for the vital role bees play in our ecosystem. Plus, there’s nothing quite like the taste of honey harvested straight from our hives!

Embracing Country Life

Embracing the country lifestyle has brought us closer to nature and to each other. We’ve learned the value of hard work, patience, and living in harmony with the land. Our days are filled with simple yet fulfilling tasks, from tending the garden to collecting eggs, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
